Our high-quality standards apply not only to solvents themselves but also to the packaging they are supplied in. Discover our ReCycler® Solvent Program, an initiative aimed at reducing packaging waste and promoting sustainability.
Each product is carefully developed, tested, and matched to its specifications. The program provides customers working with solvents with reusable containers, instead of single-use packaging, for the safe transport and storage of solvents. This helps to decrease the amount of waste generated and reduces the need for frequent container replacements. By participating in the program, customers can not only help the environment but also benefit from cost savings and improved operational efficiency.

Please note that whereas the returnable drums are available in various countries (incl. Western Europe), the returnable barrels are only available in these countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK
Returnable solvent containers
Our returnable containers are made of high-quality stainless steel, which allows them to withstand multiple uses and protect the solvents from contamination. They are available in:
Stainless-steel barrels
- Stainless steel barrels of 10 L, 30 L, and 185 L sizes. Their return is mandatory and is handled with a deposit system, which is refunded when the barrel is sent back. The stainless-steel barrels are exclusively available in Western Europe. To return empty barrels, please contact your local Customer Service.
Stainless-steel drums
- Stainless steel drums of 10 L, 25 L, and 190 L volumes and their return is optional. These are available globally and do not require a deposit. If you are based in Western Europe and would like to return the emptied drums, please contact your local Customer Service.
Solvents
The following solvent grades are available in the ReCycler® Solvent Program, either in stainless steel barrels or drums.
- LiChrosolv® solvents for liquid chromatography
- SupraSolv® solvents for gas chromatography
- Uvasol® solvents for UV/Vis and infrared spectroscopy
- Prepsolv® solvents for preparative chromatography
- EMSURE® solvents for advanced and regulated analyses
- EMPARTA® solvents for routine analytical work
- EMPLURA® solvents for preparative laboratory work
