General description

Myristic acid is an important bioactive component of Suanzaoren seed, which is one of the most commonly used Chinese medicine with therapeutic properties such as hypotensive, antihypoxia, hypnotic-sedative, antihyperlipidemia, and hypothermic effects.
This substance is listed on the positive list of the EU regulation 10/2011 for plastics intended to come into contact with food. Find all available reference materials for compounds listed in 10/2011 here

Application

Myristic acid may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the anayte in Ziziphus jujuba using high performance liquid chromatography with evaporative light scattering detection.
