General description

Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped, 5 µm HPLC columns are designed for universal use and allow the separation of basic, neutral, and metal chelating compounds with simple mobile phases and excellent peak symmetry. They are based on ultra-pure fully porous silica particles (Type B). These columns offer an outstanding stability from pH 1.5 to 10.5 over a wide temperature range, and suitability for up to 100% aqueous mobile phases. Plus, they demonstrate best all-round retention characteristics, as proven by the Tanaka test. Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped, 5 µm LiChroCART 100-4.6 is a cartridge column which requires a manuCART cartridge column holder part number 1.51486.0001. The manuCART can be used to hold one cartridge column with or without direct integration of a 4-4 mm guard column. The recommended guard column is Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped (5 µm) LiChroCART 4-4 part number 1.50250.0001. LiChroCART cartridge columns mounted with a manuCART cartridge column holder are hand-tight only and have therefore a maximum pressure stability of 250 bar. For higher pressure stability requirements Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped, 5 µm Hibar® RT 100-4.6 HPLC columns are available part number 1.50622.0001.The column dimension of 100 mm length x 4.6 mm I.D. is the optimal choice for high resolution HPLC separation of complex samples.Learn more about Purospher® STAR HPLC and UHPLC ColumnsLearn more about the Supelco HPLC Column portfolio and Method development:Brochure: HPLC and UHPLC Column Selection GuideBrochure: A Practical Guide to HPLC - Method Development Guide
