Gene Information

human ... JAK2(3717)

General description

The antibody pair provided in this kit recognizes Human Tyrosine-Phosphorylated-JAK2. The JAK2 (Janus kinase 2) gene is mapped to human chromosome 9p24.1.

Application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)

Biochem/physiol Actions

Janus kinase 2 (JAK2) mediates epithelial-mesenchymal transition in hepatocellular carcinoma. The JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway is associated with tumor development in a number of cancer such as gastric cancer. Mutation in the JAK2 gene is known to activate JAK2 receptor action even in the absence of ligand, inducing cell proliferation and opposing apoptosis.
