General description

β-BHC belongs to the class of organochlorine compounds.

Application

β-BHC may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of β-BHC in:
  • Seawater samples by solid-phase extraction (SPE) and gas chromatography coupled to triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry (GC-QqQ-MS/MS) equipped with electron impact (EI) source and multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) detection.
  • Agricultural products by GC-MS in conjunction with matrix matching and multiple isotopically labeled internal standards.
  • Fish samples by QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged and safe) extraction, dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME) based on solidification of floating organic droplet (SFO) method and GC equipped with electron capture detector (ECD).
  • Flos Chrysanthemi by accelerated solvent extraction (ASE) and GC-ECD.
