Description
Analysis Note
Cresols are an important class of industrial synthetic precursors for small molecule synthesis. This application demonstrates the suitability of SLB®-IL60i for the analysis of phenolic compounds, particularly cresols, or methylphenols. The polarity range of the stationary phase provides good selectivity and resolution of these compounds when run isothermally. The inert nature of the i-series column chemistry also provides good peak shape for compounds that tend to tail based on secondary interactions for tradional PMDS and some wax based phases.
