General description

Glycine is used as a bulking agent buffers. Glycine at low concentrations prevents pH decrease in solutions. It also stabilizes a protein when present in an amorphous state.

Application

Glycine Buffer solution has been used in the assay buffer for the enzymatic determination of lactate using lactic dehydrogenase from coelomic fluid, kidney extracts and perfusate of fish heart.
