General description

Anti-TGF β Receptor II Antibody detects endogenous levels of total TGF β Receptor II protein.
Transforming growth factor β receptor 2 (TGFBR2) is a serine/threonine protein kinase, that belongs to the TGF β receptor subfamily. It is located on human chromosome 3p24.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human TGF beta Receptor II.

Immunogen Range: 91-140

Application

Anti-TGF β Receptor II antibody has been used in immunohistochemistry.
Applications in which this antibody has been used successfully, and the associated peer-reviewed papers, are given below.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Transforming growth factor β receptor 2 (TGFBR2) plays an important role in signal transduction resulting in mitogenic responses. Mutation in TGFBR2 result in Loeys-Dietz syndrome and Marfan syndrome.

Tissue fibrosis and organ dysfunction are hallmarks of age-related diseases including heart failure, but it remains elusive whether there is a common pathway to induce both events. Through single-cell RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, and genetic perturbation, we elucidate that high-temperature requirement
