Application

Sodium pyruvate-1-13C results in sensitivity gains that allow disease tracking and interrogation of cellular metabolism by magnetic resonance. Intravenous administration of hyperpolarized [13C]pyruvate enables real-time detection of metabolism by magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging (MRSI). It is used as a precursor in estimating many volatile organic compounds for use in studying terrestrial biosphere.

Pyruvic acid, central to leaf carbon metabolism, is a precursor of many volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that impact air quality and climate. Although the pathways involved in the production of isoprenoids are well-known, those of several oxygenated VOCs remain uncertain.

Hyperpolarisation methods that premagnetise agents such as pyruvate are currently receiving significant attention because they produce sensitivity gains that allow disease tracking and interrogation of cellular metabolism by magnetic resonance. Here, we communicate how signal amplification by reversible exchange (SABRE)

Cell proliferation and inflammation are two metabolically demanding biological processes. How these competing processes are selectively executed in the same cell remains unknown. Here, we report that the enzyme carbamoyl-phosphate synthetase, aspartyl transcarbamoylase, and dihydroorotase (CAD) deamidates the RelA subunit

p53 regulates several signaling pathways to maintain the metabolic homeostasis of cells and modulates the cellular response to stress. Deficiency or excess of nutrients causes cellular metabolic stress, and we hypothesized that p53 could be linked to glucose maintenance. We
