General description

Aedotron polymers are solvent-dispersable forms of PEDOT. These are copolymers of doped PEDOT and a flexible, soluble polymer such as poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG). These colloidal dispersions are stabilized by the highly solvated PEG chains which sterically limit the aggregation of the PEDOT blocks. Aedotron polymers are neither acidic nor corrosive, it easily disperses in polar aprotic solvents.
High transparency and high conductivity dispersion in a non-volatile solvent

Application

A single-pass line has the following characteristics:
  • Printed line width, 120 μm
  • Printed line cross-sectional area, 14.1μm2
  • Printed line average height, 70.6 ηm
  • Sheet resistance, 2.0 kOhms/Square
  • Resistivity, 14,021 μOhms·cm (71 S/cm)
  • Fairly good optical clarity
Conducting polymer dispersion suitable for making conducting films, anti-static layers and transparent electrodes for electroluminescent lamps. 1,2 Dichlorobenzene can be used to cast robust films on many polymeric substrates, but should be tested in each case.

Features and Benefits

The block copolymer structure renders the conducting polymer PEDOT highly dispersible in organic solvents. dichlorobenzene is compatible with many coatings and polymers formulations.

Caution

Store this product at room temperature (do not refrigerate or freeze). Some settling and aggregation will normally occur. Agitate, sonicate, and filter prior to use. A plug of glass wool in a pipette can be used for easy filtration. The shelf life of this product will vary depending on how it is stored and handled. Product should be discarded if heavy aggregation occurs, or if sonication / filtering are inadequate to produce a good casting solution.

Other Notes

Not for spin-cast
