General description

Acute phase proteins (APPs) constitute an integral part of the innate immune response, exhibiting significant alterations in their serum/plasma concentrations in response to inflammation, infection, or trauma. This group of proteins includes haptoglobin (Hp) and C-reactive protein (CRP), which play pivotal roles in immune response, and are frequently studied as biomarkers of systemic inflammation and disease.
Research category: Cardiovascular
Research sub-category: Inflammation

Specificity

There was no or negligible cross-reactivity between the antibodies for an analyte and any of the other analytes in this panel.

Application

MILLIPLEX® Porcine Acute Phase Protein Panel 1 is a 2-plex kit to be used for the simultaneous quantification of any or all of the following analytes in porcine serum and plasma samples: C-Reactive Protein (CRP) and Haptoglobin.
