General description

Dodecylamine is a linear primary amine. It participates in the synthesis of kaolinite-dodecylamine complex, useful for the processing of polymer composites. It has been reported to inhibit the mild steel hydrochloric acid corrosion under certain conditions.

Application

Dodecylamine may be used in the following studies:
  • Preparation of novel surfactant copper(II) complexes.
  • As a template for the preparation of hexagonal mesoporous silicate (HMS) materials containing Ti, Zr and Al ions.
  • Synthesis of sponge mesoporous silica (SMS).
