Cell Line Description

The antibody is directed against sheep red blood cells. It does not react with bovine red cells. This haemocytic antibody is probably directed against the Forssman hapten. This HAT sensitive line can be used as a fusion partner for the production of heterohybridomas.

The isotype of the monoclonal antibody produced by this cell line is bovine IgG1.

Culture Medium

RPMI 1640 + 2mM glutamine + 1mM Sodium Pyruvate (NaP) + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)

Subculture Routine

Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C.
