Cell Line Origin

Human brain astrocytoma

Cell Line Description

Established from an anaplastic astrocytoma of normal adult brain. Able to support the growth of HIV.

Application

MOG-G-UVW has been used to study and determine the radiopharmaceutical applications of astatine-211 by studying its reduction pattern.[1]

Culture Medium

Ham′s F10: DMEM (1:1) + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Subculture Routine

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:2 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
