Application

N-(2-Hydroxyethyl)ethylenediamine-N,N′,N′-triacetic acid (HEDTA) can be used as an ionophore for the selective determination of Fe(III) ions by the potentiometric method. It is also used to form complexes with metal ions such as iron(II), copper (II), zinc(II), manganese(II), and uranium(VI) ions. Therefore, HEDTA plays an important role in the separation of f-elements and the treatment and disposal of nuclear waste.

The objective of this study was to compare the distribution, mobility, and relative effectiveness of Zn from Zn-amino acids (Zn-AA) and Zn-DTPA-HEDTA-EDTA (Zn-CH) (DTPA, diethylenetriaminepentaacetate; HEDTA, N-2-hydroxyethyl-ethylenedinitrilotriacetate; and EDTA, ethylenedinitrilotetraacetate) sources by applying different Zn levels to weakly acidic and

The speciation of Zn-aminopolycarboxylic complexes was investigated using both electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) and ion chromatography (IC) with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The resulting ESI mass spectra indicated that [Zn(HEDTA)](1-), [Zn(NTA)](1-), [Zn(EDTA)](2-) and [Zn(DTPA)](3-) were all simultaneously

Fluoride (F-) pollutants can harm plants and the animals feeding on them. However, it is largely unknown how complexing and chelating agents affect F bioavailability. Two studies were conducted that measured F- bioavailability and uptake by rice (Oryza sativa L.).

Zinc (Zn) and phytic acid content in grain crops are directly related to their nutritional quality and therefore human health. To investigate the nutritional influences of phosphorus (P) and Zn levels on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), plants were grown hydroponically
