General description

Tryptic Soy Agar + LTHC - in 90 mm settle plates with 30 mL filling volume for long incubation is designed for the detection of the total aerobic microbial count of preservative-containing samples or efficacy tests of disinfectants.
TSA medium is used for the cultivation and isolation of a wide range of bacteria, yeasts, and molds. The formulation contains a combination of casein and soy peptones supplying organic nitrogen, particularly amino acids and longer-chained peptides. Sodium chloride maintains the osmotic equilibrium. The medium is also supplemented with high amounts of neutralizers such as lecithin, polysorbate (Tween®) 80, histidine, and Cysteine to inactivate disinfectants or preservatives.

Application

Tryptic Soy Agar + LTHC - in 90 mm settle plates are designed for the determination of the total aerobic microbial count of preservative-containing samples or efficacy tests of disinfectants.
