General description

Lithium acetate 99.95% trace metals basis with minimal contaminant levels (< 550.0 ppm) make it an ideal reagent for processes requiring stringent purity standards, contributing to advancements in research and industrial applications.

Application

Lithium acetate is a very common salt of great importance due to its many and varied uses. Lithium acetate is used to prepare buffer solutions, which are essential for various analytical procedures, including electrophoresis and chromatography. [1] It can be used as an additive in electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries, contributing to the performance and stability of the batteries. Also it is suitable to use in thin-film deposition processes for the production of electronic components, ensuring high purity and minimal contamination. [2] Lithium acetate can be used as a catalyst or a catalyst support in various chemical reactions, enhancing reaction efficiency and product yield. In a study it has been found that Lithium acetate-catalyzed aldol reaction between trimethylsilyl enolates and aldehydes proceeded smoothly in a DMF or pyridine solvent to afford the corresponding aldols in good to high yields under weakly basic conditions. [3] In general, the product is designed to support R&D activities for critical applications in analytical chemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, materials science, catalysis, electronics, and environmental testing.

Features and Benefits

As a trace metal grade reagent, lithium acetate ensures minimal interference from contaminants in trace metal analysis, providing high-purity results.
