General description

Disperse Orange 1 is an azo dye characterized by one or more -N≡N- (azo) groups attached to aromatic systems and is primarily used for coloring purposes. Azo dyes are known to have an adverse impact on human and environmental health.

Application

Disperse Orange 1 may be used as a reference standard for the determination of the disperse dye:
  • In textile products by the ultra-high performance supercritical fluid chromatography (UHPSFC) system coupled with triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS).
  • In environmental aquatic samples using solid-phase extraction and liquid chromatography coupled to electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (SPE-LC-ESI-MS/MS).
