General description

Purified endo-β−(1→4)-xylanase from Thermomyces lanuginosus produced by submerged fermentation of a genetically modified Aspergillus oryzae microorganism
Studies show that the signal sequence found in the xylanase gene is critical for protein production in E. coli. Loss of this sequence resulted in a significant reduction in expression.
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency and waste prevention when used in cellulosic ethanol research. For more information see the article in biofiles and Enzymes for Alternative Energy Research
Xylanase catalyses the degradation of xylan into xylooligosaccharides and D-xylose. It also breaks down hemicellulose. Xylanase is used for the production of biofuels, such as ethanol and xylitol. It improves the quality of bread and juices. Xylanase is used in biobleaching process and decreases environmental pollution.

Application

Xylanase has been used:
  • in the isolation of hemicellulose and production of oligosaccharides
  • in viscosimetric assay
  • in the comparison of commercial enzymes for the aqueous enzymatic extraction of corn oil from corn germ
  • in the hydrolytic degradation of xylan

Xylanase-containing enzyme cocktails are used on an industrial scale to convert xylan into value-added products, as they hydrolyse the β-1,4-glycosidic linkages between xylopyranosyl residues. In the present study, we focused on xynS1, the glycoside hydrolase (GH) 11 xylanase gene derived

Plants lack a circulating adaptive immune system to protect themselves against pathogens. Therefore, they have evolved an innate immune system based upon complicated and efficient defense mechanisms, either constitutive or inducible. Plant defense responses are triggered by elicitors such as
