General description

Tenax porous polymers, based on 2,6-diphenyl-p-phenylene oxide, is widely used as an adsorbent in both air collection and purge trap applications. Its unique structure provides alternate and desirable adsorption/desorption characteristics compared to other porous polymers.

Application

Tenax® Porous Polymer Adsorbent may be used for the adsorptive sampling of:
  • Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in different microenvironments prior to their determination by short-path thermal desorption (SPTD) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
  • C7-C26 hydrocarbons in ambient air samples and VOCs in workroom air samples prior to their analysis by TD followed by GC analysis.
