General description

ACS reagent grade.

Application

  • Spectroscopic and quantum chemical analysis of Isonicotinic acid methyl ester.: Demonstrates the utility of spectroscopic methods combined with quantum chemical calculations, techniques potentially applicable to samples involving DMSO ( Shoba et al., 2015).

  • Modification of gelatin by reaction with 1,6-diisocyanatohexane.: Investigates the chemical modification of proteins, potentially relevant for studies using DMSO as a solvent to facilitate such reactions ( Bertoldo et al., 2007).

  • Characterization of O-acetyl-(4-O-methylglucurono)xylan isolated from birch and beech.: Describes the characterization of natural polymers, where DMSO could be used to dissolve and analyze similar substances ( Teleman et al., 2002).

Ethyl2-acetylamino-7-hydroxy-4-pyridin-3-yl-4H-chromene-3-carboxylate (HFI-419), the benzopyran-based inhibitor of insulin-regulated aminopeptidase (IRAP), has previously been shown to improve spatial working and recognition memory in rodents. However, the mechanism of its cognitive-enhancing effect remains unknown. There is a close correlation between dendritic spine density
