General description

Zineb belongs to the ethylenebisdithiocarbamates (EBDCs) class of compounds which has been employed in crop protection.

Application

Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.
Zineb may be used as the reference standard for the determination of zineb in wheat samples by capillary electrophoresis with ultraviolet (UV) detection, in commercial formulations by flow injection analysis-atomic absorption spectrometry (FIA-AAS), environmental water samples by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) in scanning or selected ion monitoring (SIM) mode and in synthetic samples, spiked water samples and crops by H-point standard addition method (HPSAM) combined with ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectrophotometry.

Today, ship hull fouling is managed through fouling-control coatings, complemented with in-water cleaning. During cleaning, coating damage and wear must be avoided, for maximum coating lifetime and reduced antifoulant release. When possible, cleaning should target early stages of fouling, using
