Application

For the selective isolation and identification of Bifidobacteria. The medium is used for quality control in the manufacture of dairy products.

Preparation Note

Dissolve 55.5 g BSM-Agar in 1 litre water. Sterilise by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 min. Cool to 45-50°C and aseptically add 116mg BSM supplement (Cat. No. 83055; freshly dissolved in 1 to 5 ml sterile water). Mix well and pour into sterile petri plates.

Footnote

We offer two media types: the superior granulated GranuCult® and the cost-efficient powdered NutriSelect® culture media, depending on your needs.
