General description

Indium(III) nitratehydrate is used in the preparation of indium(III) oxide nanoparticles and otherindium complexes.

Application

Indium(III) nitrate hydrate can be used as a precursor to synthesize:

• In₂O₃ nanoparticles via thermal decomposition. In₂O₃ is applicable as a catalyst for reverse water gas shift (RWGS) and CO₂ conversion reactions.
• AgInSe₂ thin film on Si substrate via sol-gel spin coating technique.
• Indium(III)complexes containing thiosemicarbazone. These complexes can be used in the fields of colorimetric and fluorescent probes.
