• as β₂-adrenergic agonist, to determine whether β₂-adrenergic receptor signaling was sufficient to induce up-regulation of select gene transcripts
• as a β₂-adrenergic receptor agonist and a long term bronchodilator
• as β₂-adrenergic receptor (β₂AR) agonist to recover renal function in ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) in mice
