생화학적/생리학적 작용

KCNIP1 (potassium voltage-gated channel interacting protein 1) belongs to the neuronal calcium sensor protein family and is a Ca²⁺ binding protein. It interacts with the Kv4 (voltage gated) K⁺ channels and enhances Kv4 channel traffic to the cell surface. Kv4 K⁺ channels are important for controling action potentials in neurons and cardiac myocytes.
