Application

(S)-(-)-α-Methylbenzyl isocyanate may be used as a chiral auxiliary for the resolution of racemic (±)-6aR,11aR-maackiain to give the (-)-form, which is a key intermediate for synthesizing (-)-cabenegrin A-I.
