General description

Poly(4-vinylpyridine) (PVP) is a pyridine containing polymer that is used in the surface modification by immobilizing the atoms present on the surface.

Application

PVP can be used in a variety of applications such as:
  • fabrication of antibacterial surfaces
  • development of pH sensitive systems
  • 3D molecular level ordering systems
  • anti-corrosive coatings
  • dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs)(90}
