General description

4-Chloromethcathinone, also known as 4-CMC, is a stimulant and designer drug found in "bath salts" sold at head shops and over the Internet. These synthetic cathinones offer recreational uses that mimic the effects of illegal drugs such as cocaine, methamphetamine, and LSD. This certified solution standard is suitable for numerous GC/MS and LC/MS applications including clinical toxicology testing, forensic analysis, urine drug testing or calibrator preparation.

Moderate stress increases memory and facilitates adaptation. In contrast, intense stress can induce pathological memories as observed in post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD). A shift in the balance between the expression of tPA and PAI-1 proteins is responsible for this transition.
