General description
Anti-Dopamine D2S Receptor, rabbit polyclonal, recognizes the ~48 kDa dopamine D2S receptor. Does not cross-react with other dopamine receptors. It is validated for use in ELISA, WB, and IHC.
Rabbit polyclonal antibody supplied as lyophilized, undiluted serum. Recognizes the ~48 kDa dopamine D2s receptor.
Recognizes the ~48 kDa dopamine D25 receptor. Does not cross-react with other dopamine receptors.
Immunogen
Human
a synthetic (PLKEAARRC) peptide corresponding to amino acids 239-246 of human D2s dopamine receptor
Application
ELISA (see comments)
Immunoblotting (1:800)
Immunohistochemistry (1:5000)
Immunoblotting (1:800)
Immunohistochemistry (1:5000)
Warning
Toxicity: Standard Handling (A)
Physical form
Undiluted serum.
Reconstitution
Reconstitute the antibody with 100 µl PBS containing 10 mg/ml BSA. For further dilution of the antibody, use a similar buffer formulation. Following reconstitution, refrigerate (4°C).
Other Notes
Does not cross-react with other dopamine receptors. This antibody has also been reported to work for ELISA. For immunoblotting, a 1:800 dilution of the reconstituted serum detected a single band at ~48 kDa in an analysis using whole rat brain homogenates. For immunohistochemistry, a 1:500 dilution of the reconstituted serum demonstrated specific staining of rat brain sections including the plasma membrane of neurons in the cortex and caudate putamen. Staining was also observed along apical dendrites of layer 5 cortex cells. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.
