Gene Information

human ... CNGA1(1259)

Specificity

Recognizes human Cyclic Nucleotide-Gated Channel 1 (CNG1). The immunogen shows no significant sequence homology with other CNG′s.

SPECIES REACTIVITIES: The immunogen sequence is 100% conserved in porcine, 80% in bovine, 70% in canine and 57% in rat. Reactivity with other species has not been confirmed.

Immunogen

A 20 amino acid peptide sequence near the N-terminus of human CNG1 (Dhallan et al. 1992; Distler et al. 1994; Bonigk et al. 1993).
Epitope: C-terminus

Application

Anti-Cyclic Nucleotide-Gated Channel 1 Antibody, C-terminus detects level of Cyclic Nucleotide-Gated Channel 1 & has been published & validated for use in ELISA & WB.

Western blot: 1-10 g/mL using ECL.
ELISA: 0.5-1 g/mL using 1 g/mL control peptide per well.

Immunohistochemistry: not tested. It is recommended that the antibody be tried at 2-20 μg/mL on paraformaldehyde fixed tissue.

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

Physical form

Affinity purified immunoglobulin. Liquid in PBS containing 0.1% BSA.

Storage and Stability

Maintain at -20°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

During shipment, small volumes of antibody will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial. For antibodies with volumes of 200 μl or less, we recommend gently tapping the vial on a hard surface or briefly centrifuging the vial in a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container′s cap.

Other Notes

Concentration: Please refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the lot-specific concentration.
