Gene Information

human ... SMARCA5(8467)

General description

SWI/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily A member 5 is a protein encoded by the SMARCA5 gene in human. A member of the SWI/SNF family proteins with helicase and ATPase activities that are thought to regulate transcriptions by altering the chromatin structure around the target genes.

Immunogen

Epitope: Near N-terminus
GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to human SMARCA5 near the N-terminus.

Application

Anti-SMARCA5 Antibody is an antibody against SMARCA5 for use in Western Blotting and Immunocytochemistry, Immunoprecipitation.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: 2.0 ug/mL from a representative lot detected SMARCA5 in HeLa, A431, and NIH/3T3 cells.
Immunoprecipitation Analysis: 5.0 ug from a representative lot immunoprecipitated SMARCA5 in 500 µg of HeLa cell lysate.

Chromosomal translocations generate oncogenic fusion proteins in approximately one-third of sarcomas, but how these proteins promote tumorigenesis is not well understood. Interestingly, some translocation-driven cancers exhibit dramatic clinical responses to therapy, such as radiotherapy, although the precise mechanism has not

DNA replication forks are tightly controlled by a large protein network consisting of well-known core regulators and many accessory factors which remain functionally undefined. In this study, we report previously unknown nuclear functions of the actin-binding factor profilin-1 (PFN1) in
