General description

Lead(II,IV) oxide is a red pigment commonly used as an anti-corrosive pigment in protective coatings and as electrodes in batteries. In addition, it is also used as a catalyst for the Diels-Alder cycloaddition and as an oxidant for the generation of quinones from hydroquinones.
