Application

The Standard Reference Material (SRM) Polyethylene Resin is primarily intended for calibrating and evaluating the performance of instruments in polymer technology and science, specifically for determining the melt flow rate according to ASTM D1238-13, Test Method for Flow Rates of Thermoplastics by Extrusion Plastometer, Standard Test Condition 190/2.16.

Features and Benefits

  • Certified values for melt flow rate were estimated using a Gaussian random effects model and the DerSimonian Laird procedure.
  • Expiration details and instructions for storage are provided on the NIST certificate.
