Application
Polyethylene glycol 2000 is used in the construction of biomaterials such as biopolymers, micelles and nanostructures.
Biochem/physiol Actions
O-Methyl-O′-succinylpolyethylene glycol 2′000 is a modified monomethoxypolyethylene glycol (mPEG) wherein the hydroxyl groups are succinylated by succinic anhydride. This succinylated mPEG can then be used to synthesize tolerogenic mPEG conjugates of peptides. Tolerogenic peptide conjugates are very effective reagents for obtaining epitope-specific immunosuppression of antibody responses to immunopathogenic sites on multideterminant complex protein antigens.

We previously reported on a stearylated INF7 peptide (str-INF7), which enhances the endosomal escape of an octaarginine (R8)-modified liposomal particle encapsulating plasmid DNA (pDNA) in a fusion-independent manner. This study examined whether this peptide derivative enhanced the endosomal escape and

T-cell recognition of peptide-MHC complexes on APCs requires cell-cell interactions. The molecular events leading to T-cell activation have been extensively investigated, but the underlying physical binding forces between T-cells and APCs are largely unknown. We used single cell force spectroscopy
