Cell Line Description

Clone of RAJI selected for adherence to glass or plastic. Fibroblast like cell line. RAJI ′A′ was developed from the adherent sub-population of RAJI cells. Karyotype analysis demonstrated that RAJI ′A′ contains typical human chromosomes and the modal total chromosome number (47-48) is the same as that of RAJI. RAJI ′A′ is also identical to RAJI with respect to isoenzyme composition, susceptibility to EBV infection and inducibility of latent EBV. Ethnicity: Black.

Culture Medium

RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Subculture Routine

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
