18:1 PI(3,4,5)P3 is suitable to use in lipid stock preparation to form mixed micelles. It has also been used:
- in the preparation of planar-supported lipid bilayers (SLBs)
- in supplementing or enriching phagocyte membrane
- in liposome preparation
