Application

For preparation of bimetallic Ba-Nb and Ba-Zr alkoxides. Asymmetric aldol reactions are promoted by a novel catalyst prepared from Ba(O-i-Pr)2.
It may be used as a catalyst for one pot preparation of symmetrical 1,5-diketones. Sol gel synthesis of ternary compound, Ba3 Li 2Ti8 O20 can be carried out by precursor reactants, barium isopropoxide, titanium isopropoxide and lithium acetate.
