General description

Molybdenum disulfide suspension (MoS2) is a two dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) material that forms a monolayer with a direct band gap of 1.8 eV and an indirect band gap of 1.2 eV. It can be used as a non-linear optical material and as a reinforcing filler in polymeric composites.
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product belongs to Enabling category of greener alternatives thus aligns with "Design for energy efficency". Click here for more information.

Application

MoS2 suspension can be used in the fabrication of semiconducting devices such as field effect transistors (FETs), and supercapacitors.
Owing to the thickness dependent physical and chemical properties, the transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) based two dimensional (2D) nanomaterials have drawn significant attention recently. The atomically thin layers of MoS2 and WS2 represent important class of TMD based 2D-material and they find applications in photocatalysis, phtotovoltaics, gas sensing, lithium ion batteries, field effect transistors, spintronics etc.
