Specificity

Antibody recognizes actin isotypes alpha and gamma of smooth muscle cells, but not skeletal or cardiac muscle cells. Reactive with myoepithelium, but nonreactive with other mesenchymal and all epithelial cells. The antibody labels eiomyosarcomas and leiomyomas but does not react with other neoplasms such as carcinomas or lymphoma.

Immunogen

Chicken gizzard actin
Epitope: smooth muscle gamma & alpha actin

Application

Detect Actin using this Anti-Actin Antibody, smooth muscle γ & α actin, clone CGA7 validated for use in WB, IH, IH(P).
Western Blot: 1:1000 (approximately 43 kDa)

Immunohistochemistry (paraffin, formalin, deparaffinized methacarn-fixed tissue: 1:10,000 or alcohol fixation)

Optimal dilutions must be determined by the end user.
