General description

The Steritest® Symbio LFH Pump with its compact design can be used comfortably in smallest testing environments. In the standard configuration this pump is used, in a laminar flow hood, a biosafety cabinet, or in a clean room. However, it can also be used in an isolator, using Steritest® Symbio high feet and the Steritest® Symbio connection cable extension.
The automatic closure of the pump head eliminates the risk of glove pinching and ensures reliable splitting of the liquid sample. As ergonomic working conditions are key, the drain tray and bottle holder can be easily and flexibly positioned around the pump head for easy access in limited-space environments. Furthermore, the drain tray is designed to minimize splashing under the canister base. The pump′s convenient pressure detection system which can be run in two different modes (pressure monitoring and pressure regulation), reduces the risk of false test result and sterility test interruption. For highest precision and reproducible sampling also of smallest volumes, the pump has a convenient timer function available. To further ensure test reproducibility and to be always compliant with the defined test procedures, the respective test methods can be created on a PC using the Steritest® Symbio Software. These test methods will then be transferred to the pump and will lead the operator through the workflow step-by-step.
A wide range of optional accessories are also offered to improve the sterility testing workflow.

Application

Steritest® Symbio LFH Pump (2 media) is suitable for sterility testing in the laminar flow hood, biosafety cabinet, cleanroom or inside an isolator. The sterile products that can be tested with the Steritest® system include, large- and small-volume parenteral solutions in glass or plastic bottles, collapsible bags, ampoules, and vials, pre-filled syringes, lyophilized and other soluble products in ampoules or vials, antibiotics in ampoules or vials, medical devices, and difficult-to-dissolve powders.
