Description

General description

Ammonium metavanadate is a water soluble inorganic acid. It is a cheaply available, mild and efficient catalyst.[1] Its ability to alter female reproduction has been studied in swiss albino mice.[2][3][4]

Application

Ammonium metavanadate may be used as a substrate in the synthesis of the following:

• silver vanadate (AgVO₃) nanorods[5]
• manganese vanadate nanobelts[6]
• vanadium oxide hydrate semi-microspheres[7]

It may be used as a catalyst in the synthesis of the following:
