4-Aminobenzoic acid, also known as para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), is utilized as a precursor in the synthesis of aromatic amines and azo dyes.

Application

4-Aminobenzoic acid is used:

  • As a substrate in folic acid production
  • In the synthesis of Schiff base
  • As an organic ligand in metal-organic framework (MOFs) synthesis
