Gene Information
human ... APOC2(344)
General description
Human APOC2 (apolipoprotein C2) is an 8914 kDa exchangeable apolipoprotein, linked with VLDL (very low density lipoprotein) and chylomicrons. This gene is located on human chromosome 19q13.
The ApoC2 ELISA kit provides for the Quantitative measurement of ApoC2 in Cell Culture Supernatants, Plasma and Serum.
Application
For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Biochem/physiol Actions
APOC2 (apolipoprotein C2) serves as a cofactor for lipoprotein lipase. It plays a major role in the flux of TGs (triglycerides) through the plasma compartment.
