4-ヒドロキシベンジルアルコール（HBA）は、Gastrodia elataで見られるフェノール類化合物です。抗酸化剤および抗喘息剤です。HBAは、過酸化水素応答性コポリオキサラートナノ粒子およびポリマーを合成するための前駆体としても使用できます。
アプリケーション
4-ヒドロキシベンジルアルコールは、次の物質の合成において前駆物質として使用できます。
- 薬物送達系候補としてのHBA組み込みコポリオキサレート（HPOX）ナノ粒子。
- 酵素触媒反応で生成するポリ(4-ヒドロキシベンジルアルコール)。
- 4-ヒドロキシベンジルイミダゾール誘導体。
