General description

Poly(9-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) is a conjugated polymer with hydrophobic properties. PVK films have a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 200°C and are mainly used as hole transport materials for semiconductor application.[1][2]

Application

PVK can be used for the synthesis of titanium oxide (TiO2) quantum dots fillers that find potential applications as donor-acceptor layers in polymeric solar cells.[3] It may be used to functionalize carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and form conductive reinforcements on epoxy groups.[4] Iridium composites may be surface modified by PVK for the fabrication of highly efficient organic light emitting devices.[5]
