Gene Information

human ... RHOA(387)

General description

Rho proteins belong to the Ras super family of low molecular weight GTPases, which includes RAS, RHO, RAB, RAN, RAD and ARF. These small GTP binding proteins function as molecular switches that regulate a multitude of biological processes including cell proliferation, apoptosis, differentiation, cytoskeletal reorganization, and membrane trafficking.

Specificity

Recognizes Rho (-A, -B, -C), Mr 22 kDa.

Immunogen

Recombinant human RhoA containing amino acids 1-155. Clone 55.

Application

Detect Rho (-A, -B, -C) using this Anti-Rho (-A Antibody, -B, -C), clone 55 validated for use in IC & WB.
Immunocytochemistry:
This antibody has been reported by an independent laboratory to detect Rho in cells via immunofluorescence.

Cytoskeletal Signaling

Quality

Routinely evaluated by western blot on RIPA lysates from Jurkat or HL-60 cells.

Western Blot Analysis:
0.5-2 µg/mL of this lot detected Rho in RIPA lysates from HL-60 cells. A previous lot detected Rho in RIPA lysates from Jurkat cells.

Target description

22 kDa

Physical form

Format: Purified
Protein G Purified
Purified mouse monoclonal IgG1 in buffer containing BSA containing 0.09% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.

Storage and Stability

Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt.

Handling Recommendations:
Upon receipt, and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20ºC. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance. Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20ºC may cause glycerol-containing solutions to become frozen during storage.

Analysis Note

Control
HL-60 cell lysate.

Other Notes

Concentration: Please refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the lot-specific concentration.
