General description

Tributylamine is a tertiary amine. It has been reported to prevent the corrosion of mild steel in HCl solution.

Application

Tributylamine (n-Bu3N) has been used to compose the mobile phase for the liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) analysis.
It may be used in the preparation of PdCl,N and PdOAc,N (palladium nanoparticles). It may be used as an additive during the synthesis of 3-bromothieno[3,2-c]pyridine-4-(5H)-one.
