Sinomenine is a herbal medicine used to treat inflammatory diseases like rheumatoid arthritis. Sinomenine had anti-inflammatory effects in several animal models of inflammation, and inhibits mast cell degranulation and histamine release. Additionally, Sinomenine potentiates renewal of human embryonic stem cells.
