SupraSolv® GC Solvent Specifications
Our GC solvent qualities are ideal for all gas chromatography applications. These solvents are specially developed and tested for ECD, FID and MS detection to ensure a maximum signal-to-noise ratio in the largest specified retention time range. Our solvents for headspace gas chromatography are developed specifically for the analysis of residual solvents in drug substances, excipients, and drug products according to Ph. Eur. and USP. High purity is provided by specially designed production processes for accurate, reliable and reproducible analytical results.

Descriptions | Free from contaminants could possibly interfere with GC analysis by coeluting with peaks of interest in the sample | Narrow specification, the highest purity, and larger retention time range; low boiling substances can be reliably detected; the permissible concentration of interference signals within the retention time range is lower | Meet EPA Method 508 and the stringent demands of capillary gas chromatography; glass-distilled solvents resulting in exceptional quality and low residue levels | Undergo rigorous purification procedures and assure high chemical purity; lowest impurity profile and minimal signal-to-noise ratio in specification |
Specification | Every residual solvent of class 1 acc. CH ≤ 1 µg/g Every residual solvent of class 2 acc. CH ≤ 10 µg/g Every residual solvent of class 3 acc. CH ≤ 50 µg/g | ≤ 1 ng/mL compared to Tetrachloromethane GC-ECD ≤ 2 pg/mL compared to Lindane GC-ECD ≤ 2 ng/mL compared to n-Tetradecane GC-FID ≤ 2 ng/mL compared to n-Tetradecane GC-MS | 3 pg/mL compared to Lindane GC-ECD ≤ 3 ng/mL compared to n-Tetradecane GC-FID | ≤ 3 ng/mL compared to n-Tetradecane GC-MS |
Benefits | Extremely high purity resulting in a very low baseline Microfiltered (0.2 μm) Packaged under inert gas for longer shelf life Meet USP, Ph.
